Nestled atop a hill overlooking the serene Lake Sainte Croix in Gorge de Verdon, Auberge Du Castellas offers an enchanting retreat for families. Upon arriving, our request for a room with a breathtaking lake view was promptly fulfilled, setting the tone for a memorable stay. the homely atmosphere, characteristic of owner, operated establishments, made us feel truly welcome. Seeking recommendations for family, friendly activities, the owner graciously provided us with a thoughtful package of area maps, postcards, and tips on must, see locations. It was a personal touch that we truly appreciated. Our mornings began with the delightful breakfast plan, a feast for the senses that kept us energized throughout the day of exploration. the hotel's charm was evident in the tastefully decorated rooms, exuding the allure of the South of France. For our little ones, the hotel's swimming pool proved to be a perfect spot for relaxation and play. After a day of hiking and sightseeing, the children enjoyed the poolside entertainment offered, creating cherished family moments against the backdrop of the tranquil lake view. Auberge Du Castellas provided the ideal setting for a family vacation, combining comfort, charm, and a welcoming ambiance that we would eagerly return to on our next visit to the region.
